INSOL Europe Academic Forum Annual Conference 2015

Call for Papers – Berlin 2015

The Academic Forum of INSOL Europe will be hosting its annual conference in Berlin on Wednesday 30 September–Thursday 1 October 2015.

Expressions of interest are invited for the delivery of papers within the overall conference theme, which will be:

“Banking and Financial Insolvencies”

The theme is intended to focus on, inter alia, the following topics:

  • Adapting Insolvency to Sectoral Needs;
  • The Challenges of Managing Large-Scale Insolvencies;
  • What does “Rescuing” a Financial Institution mean?;
  • Coordination of Group Insolvencies.

In light of the particular success of last year’s Tenth Anniversary Conference in Istanbul, the intention for this conference is also to have papers that challenge, stimulate and ask profound questions about the nature of the subject of insolvency with application to the banking and financial sector. Proposals are invited that do more than just outline a topic of interest, but seek to understand, analysis and critique the fundamentals of insolvency and take the subject forward.

Expressions of interest in delivering papers within the conference theme should be communicated by 15 February 2015 to Paul Omar, IEAF Secretary, by e-mail at: . Proposals for papers will then be selected and the organisers will communicate by the beginning of March 2015 those papers that have been selected for inclusion within the conference.

Would-be speakers who also fit the necessary criteria should also complete a form for a Travel Grant, available at the IEAF Homepage: <www.insol-europe.org/academic/>.
