Our 22nd Congress, held at St Julian's, Malta, was
attended by 156 delegates and almost 100 accompanying persons. The Technical
Programme and most of the papers presented to the Congress are reproduced
below this article, but the result of the deliberations by five separate
groups of delegates are being organised into a report, which will appear
later on this page.
There was an active social programme in the Congress,
including a Welcome Dinner at the Hotel Westin Dragonara and a dinner
and dance in the former Treasury of the Knights Hospitalliers of Malta
in Valletta. Due to extremely good weather, there were many opportunities
for all delegates to network, and, coupled with such an excellent programme,
the Congress was extremely satisfactory and of a very high standard.
The Association's Ordinary General Meeting was also held at Malta, where
President Giorgio Cherubini (Italy) passed over his responsibilities
to the new President, Marc André (France). Other changes to the
Constitution of the Council are shown under the Council & Committees
page of this website, and the Council have appointed a new Secretary-General,
about whom you can also read under the Officers & Secretariat page. |
