On behalf of the INSOL Europe EECC Co-Chairs Stela Ivanova (Bulgaria) & Georges-Louis Harang (France), we are delighted to invite you to join us in Bucharest, Romania, for the Eastern European Countries’ Committee (EECC) Conference which will be held on Friday 9 May 2025. The EECC conference will be preceded by an optional networking dinner on Thursday 8 May 2025.

Cancellation of Attendance
Refunds will not be given for any cancellation received after Thursday 27 March although it will be permissible for registrations to be transferred within organisations.
This year our Conference will be held at the InterContinental Athenee Palace Bucharest, Strada Episcopiei, București 010292, Romania. We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the venue, available to book here.
Bedroom rate: €175 + €17.50 VAT = €192.50 per room per night

Known for its wide, tree-lined boulevards, glorious Belle Époque buildings and a reputation for the high life (which in the early 1900s earned its nickname of "Little Paris"), Bucharest is today a bustling metropolis. Pre-Conference Dinner
There will be an optional pre-conference networking drinks and dinner at InterContinental Athenee Palace Bucharest, starting at 19.00 on Thursday 8 May. The cost of this dinner is €75 + VAT, this can be added at the point of registering.

Optional Tour - Palace of Parliament
During your stay in Bucharest we recommend visiting the Palace of Parliament, a must-see when visiting Bucharest. Stroll through enourmous hallways and rooms, see busts of Romanian Kings, and visit Europe's biggest ballroom. To book, please visit this link. InterContinental Athenee Palace Bucharest is centrally located, 17km away from Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport.
The economical and sustainable way to get to the hotel is via bus, taking 50 minutes in total including walking. The bus stop is immediately outside the arrivals hall. Ensure you take the following bus: 100 Piata Unirii 2. The bus journey takes 40 minutes and costs less than 1 euro. You will ride 6 stops before getting off at Piata Romana, the hotel is then a 8 minute walk away.
Alternatively, there is a taxi rank outside the airport terminal, the journey time is approximately 40 minutes and costs 120 LEU / 24 EURO.
Parking is available at the hotel at an additional charge of 18 euros per day.
When to arrive
The registration desk will be open from 18.00 – 19.00 on Thursday 8 May and will reopen at 09.00 on Friday 9 May.
Travel & Health Insurance
It is the attendee's responsibility to be adequately insured in case of claims pertaining to travel/accidents for the duration of their visit.
The Delegate List and Presentations will be available nearer the time of the event.
